Trust & transparency
Editorial & review policy
How our advice is written and fact-checked, how we substantiate what we claim, and how we verify reviews before publishing them.
Who writes and reviews our content
Guidance is maintained by the operating team and published under Ross Alinari, Managing Director of Hampstead Renovations Ltd. Planning, legal and technical requirements can change, so readers should verify the current position with the relevant authority or qualified professional before acting.
How we source facts
Planning, conservation-area and building-regulation statements are grounded in the relevant local authority’s published rules (Camden, Westminster, Barnet and neighbouring boroughs). Where we give indicative costs or timescales, they reflect our own project experience and are described as indicative, never as fixed quotes. We do not invent statistics, survey figures or citations.
How we substantiate claims
Company identity is checked against Companies House: Hampstead Renovations Limited, company no. 16838595, incorporated 7 November 2025. Trade registration or membership claims are published only when they can be linked to current evidence that applies to the company or person named.
How we verify reviews
In line with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, we only publish a review — and only mark it up as structured review data — once it is tied to a real, completed job or member request and the reviewer has consented to publication. Testimonials that cannot be substantiated are removed rather than shown. We do not publish an aggregate star rating unless it is backed by a verifiable external source.
Where we say we “serve”
We collect the postcode with each brief and confirm availability after triage across premium North, Central and South West London. An informational area guide is not, by itself, a promise that a particular service is available there.
Corrections
If you spot something inaccurate or out of date, tell us and we will check it against the source and correct it. Accuracy matters more to us than volume — we would rather remove a claim than leave an unverified one standing.
